Firstly I would say that it isn’t a freelance writer, you never know where the next crust is coming from – ok I know that is off the point but hey you got to pitch for a raise whenever you can don’t you?
The least stressful jobs are probably the ones we daydream about but if we did them we might be daydreaming about doing a less stressful job ourselves.
However consider for a moment what it might be like to be a life guard in Malibu? All of those extremely hot good looking starlets in need of rescuing though probably they are more at risk from the life guards than the sea.
Hang on as we have been chatting I have thought of the perfect ‘stressless’ – let’s call it – job and you can do it in most countries. How about being elected or in the case of the UK born to be a lawmaker in the second chamber of government?
There are, I know, some ‘Lords’ as they call them in the UK who have never set foot inside the parliament building confusingly called the Lords, and the ones that do are regularly captured on live television snoring their way through the second amendment of some inconsequential bill, or better still a debate to decide whether yet another hospital should be closed or not.
It isn’t quite the same in the US but Congressman Don Young a good friend of Sarah Palin has missed 13% of Congresses votes, which is a little like having every Friday afternoon off I guess.
There are probably hundreds and hundreds of jobs out there that can be considered generally as low level of stress jobs, and of course it is individual choice, and like most people if I knew of one then hell I would beat you too it, so if you are doing one, my advice, keep what you are doing to yourself.
